patrick j miron - lie detector.flv--. God Himself limits their ability to understand the bible by imposing upon them the plague of Ignorance.

2. The Latin Vulgate translation was declared the official Bible of the Church along with what Protestants call The Apocrypha and given more authority than the Bible in the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts.

"the Vulgate to be the authentic text for sermons and disputations..."  Newadvent.org-Trent

3. The Church has the sole authority to interpret the Scriptures. This teaching essentially denied the need for the Bible in the language of the common man. In fact, placing the Bible in the hands of lay people was considered dangerous.

See #1, NewAdvent reference.

I have for sometime now  been Blessed by God, and able to recognize God’s hand in the lack of RIGHT understanding of what the bible really says as a rather common Protestant trait.

In fact; it seems to be one thing many of the denominations have in common.

This ought not be a surprise to any of us who are “bible-savvy,”  as clear warning is given by God through the bible itself., in a variety of ways.

1 John 4: 4-9  “Little children, you are of God, and have overcome them; for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world, therefore what they say is of the world, and the world listens to them. We are of God. Whoever knows God listens to us

and he who is not of God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”

2 Tim. 4: 1-4 ”I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, convince, rebuke, and exhort, be unfailing in patience and in teaching.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own likings, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander into myths.”

Fourth session: decree concerning the canonical scriptures:
“If anyone does not accept as sacred and canonical the aforesaid books in their entirety and with all their parts [the 66 books of the Bible plus 12 apocryphal books, being two of Paralipomenon, two of Esdras, Tobias, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, Sophonias, two of Macabees], as they have been accustomed to be read in the Catholic Church and as they are contained in the old Latin Vulgate Edition, and knowingly and deliberately rejects the aforesaid traditions, LET HIM BE ANATHEMA.”
